Zeitgeist the Movie

Ever Felt Like Things Are A Little Off...?

Film review by Emily Kuser

Exposing the senses to media that rustles the feathers of conventional tradition, thought, and theory clears the paths of consciousness and helps us to know, not be told, what our truths are.   Zeitgeist, defined as spirit of the age, is this media.  "It is my hope that people will not take what is said in the film as the truth, but find out for themselves, for truth is not told, it is realized." ...producer of Zeitgeist, Peter Josephs.

Peter Josephs stunned, confronted, and expanded the minds of thousands with the 2007 release of Zeitgeist, his first ever production.  The non-profit film gets over 50,000 hits a day online, and is being translated into over ten different languages. The film is dissected into three parts:   Part I. The Greatest Story Ever Told (religion), Part II. The 911 Myth, and Part III. Don't Mind The Men Behind The Curtain (The Federal Reserve).

Part I: The Greatest Story Ever Told shines light upon a little thing called astrotheology, theology founded on observations or knowledge of the celestial bodies; sun, earth, moon, and stars. Theology is basically the study of gods and religion, which Mr. Josephs would translate as the study of stories and myths derived from ancient civilization's worship of the sun and stars.

This is a loaded statement, to say the least, to the billions of followers of Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, Catholicism, and well, religion. Identical similarities are shown between 16 different religious saviors such as Krishna , Dionysus, Attic, Mithra, Jesus, and Horus: born of a virgin on December 25 th, crucified, resurrected, has 12 disciples or followers, the list goes on and on. What's so fascinating is not the scriptural similarities but the film's ability to simplify them for the average viewer.   "The religious myth is the most powerful device ever created, and serves as the psychological soil upon which other myths can flourish."

Part II: The 911 Myth takes a crack at the government's involvement in September 11, 2001 , WWI, WWII, and Vietnam .  The mistakes we've made in the past we've sworn never to make again are being repeated ten fold today by way of warfare, death, and financial illiteracy.

We are shown footage in detail of the demise of the trade towers, documentation of NORAD drills, and the substantial evidence of prior knowledge of the attacks.  The film presents lingering questions regarding hidden evidence, money transfers to foreign bank accounts, and the construction of the trade towers... all questions which have been ignored and blatantly sidestepped by the U.S. government.

Part III: Don't Mind the Men Behind the Curtain portrays the plans that are outlined for the U.S. financially, mentally, educationally, independently, and privately by the world's richest leaders. Stressed is the point that our central bank is responsible for currency, money supply, and loan interest rates.  When we are in crisis or recession, the central bank acts as a bailout.  This means debt can be accrued on debt from repetitive lending and defaulting on loans.  Unbeknownst to many are the plans for the Security and Prosperity Partnership Of North America otherwise known as the North American Union (www.spp.gov [1]).  The film depicts this plan and how it proposes to remove the borders between Canada , Mexico , and the United states to create free trade and a common currency called the Amero. Hmmm... imagine that.

Take what you will out of Zeitgeist.  This eccentric, thought-provoking, non-profit film has inspired and educated over a million people to seek truth in what they are told.  People who would have never cared to think twice about some of these issues have now begun to care and are talking about current issues facing us as a nation.  Hearing the questions arise is a beautiful thing...it means we're evolving, thinking, and dissolving the conditions and conformities no longer relevant to our lives.  Watch it.  Life, I assure you, will be seen a little differently.  Zeitgeistmovie.com [2]
