Changing the World One Mind at a Time
How strong is your belief system? What do you hold onto so tightly that it is impossible to shift even when new data comes in that would make it possible to change your mind?
I have recently had the pleasure of asking myself this question. As I am in the throes of releasing another film that challenges the current paradigm, I have encountered many people who – even while being given strong data to support change, still refuse to.
I am mostly referring to film critics who have been reviewing the film "WATER" which I am distributing through my company Intention Media (intentionmediainc.com [1]). The film is filled with many respected scientists (Nobel Peace prize winners!) and others who could be considered "fringe" – but they are all coming to a profound and important conclusion – that WATER is indeed a divine substance with properties and potentials that could have revolutionary effects on the world. Yet – instead of viewing the film with an open mind, they immediately decide since it's spiritual in nature, it must be more of that new age whoo hoo from those nut jobs who told us that we create our own reality.
Just as when we released the "BLEEP" many film critics and writers slammed us for insinuating that we somehow are responsible for what happens in our lives – now I am slammed for suggesting that WATER can be effected by our thoughts. (I must be addicted to waging this battle!!!)
After reading multiple reviews I sat in wonder- why is it so hard for people to see this is true? Just turn on CNN and usually once a day you'll hear some anchor say something like "Did you know that your attitude affects your ability to heal?" Of course many people already knew that, but it's reported as if it were some amazing new insight.
I then had to ask myself – what is it that I am holding onto as a belief system that I refuse to change? What am I not willing to let go of? I first heard this question while attending a retreat at The Ramtha School of Enligtenment some years ago. What person, place, or thing am I so addicted to that I will forgo evolving to hold onto it? Wow – I was surprised at how ingrained some of my beliefs are.
As I slowly begin to chip away at mine, I see that releasing films like this slowly chips away at the social consciousness – even if it is one person at a time.
Who knows, maybe next time that film critic hops in the shower – he will quietly (so no one hears him!) bless the water and thank it for it's journey up the pipes to clean his ears!
Currently available from Intention Media: The Voice [2] on DVD. WATER [3] is opening April 18th in Los Angeles. Check waterthemovie.com [4] for more information.
