The Voice

Film review by Cate Montana

At a time when the market is saturated with informative videos about consciousness, science, and the latest insights into humanities' raison d'etre, The Voice stands out — way out. From the opening with Professor Robert Thurman explaining how little man can actually see - comparing the human visual range within the full light spectrum as a grain of sand next to the Empire State Building — all the way through to director David Sereda's astonishing account of his direct experience of the first six heaven's of Existence (which corroborates the Buddhist Lankavatara Sutra), the film is a virtual smorgasbord of information.

Review by Will Arntz

It is often said (by those metaphysically inclined), that every device or invention that we come up with, is an external reflection of our internal abilities and processes. The telephone: psychic communication, photography: sight and memory.

So what about the biggest technological innovation of the century — the Internet and computers? In this reviewer's opinion it is a physical reflection of the global interconnection. I can take a picture, download it to my computer, upload via email, and someone else in the world can see it in 10 seconds. Those people in India, who 20 years ago were on the other side of the world, are now just on the other side of the SEND key.
